Mode of Action:
Ethefall is plant growth regulator with systemic properties. It penetrates the plant tissues, and is translocated and progressively liberates ethylene, a potent regulator of plant growth and accelerate ripeness which positively affects the growth process.
Foliar application of Ethefall on pomegranate and grapes is for the leaf dropping. After spraying Ethefall, the chlorophyll content of leaf is degraded and stored in the stem and petiole due to which leaf becomes yellowish and starts dropping. Leaf dropping helps in budding and inflorescence of plants.
Ethefall is a versatile plant growth regulator which improves coloration and accelerates uniform ripening of fruits like pineapple, mango, tomato, etc. It can be deployed in specific uses like defoliation in pomegranate, initiation of fruiting over a period of several weeks and promoting early boll opening in cotton, helps in breaking alternate bearing in mango and induces profuse flowering.
